Does look interesting, but I don't know why some people whinge on about the action sequences.. Blade Runner had shooty bits and yet it's considered by many to be a very decent adventure title. It's also not very cyberpunk from the looks of it but hopefully the atmosphere will be similar to Snatcher and Blade Runner.

Looking at the screenshots, the game certainly has my interest. I'll be keeping an eye on it.
EDIT: Now I've read the article, and the shooting sequences do sound like a potential game-breaker.
I did find this funny though:
Here he arrives on a planet named Barracus, a rain-drenched mining colony in the Gemini System.
I've had my eye on this since seeing a preview of it in PC Gamer magazine a few months back. It has a great look to it. It makes me nostalgic for the 90s.
Also, I believe the title is actually Gemini Rue, not Gemini Ruse.
As far as Point & Click Adventures go, this has an exceptionally good flow to it. The puzzles fit the scenarios. None of the puzzles were too hard in the demo, but they required a little creative thinking and they felt so natural that I found them enjoyable.
I love the graphics. It's a total throw back to the old days of Point & Click adventures, and instead of feeling like the graphical limitations of a low budget indie game (which it probably is), it actually feels like a legitimate style choice. I found the game to be beautiful to look at. It feels like you are walking around in some cyberpunk comic book.
The music is also really good. It has that old film noire jazz style to it. It's laid back, but moody. It has a richness to it that breathes some life into the imagery. The writing seems solid, though maybe a little hammy in points, but definitely a story I could get into. The voice acting was sub par though, which detracts a little from the written dialogue (I think some of the writing wouldn't seem as hammy with different actors).
Anyway, the demo left me wanting more. There's some intangible quality to the game that just makes it very easy to slip into. I look forward to playing the full game.
I just started getting into the full version, which you can get from http://www.wadjeteyegames.com/ and my god this game is awesome. It kind of jumps from present day "Blade Runner" style cyber punk to "Logans Run" style cyber punk. It has some original shooting scenes as well as some pretty good little 'move object about' puzzles both of which help break up the classic P&C puzzles. Also amazing art that sets the mood as well as terrific voice acting.
