Emulation - there should be a screenshot button (F11 is the default if I remember correctly), or prntscn if you do them one at a time.

Console - you will need some sort of capture card for a computer, or record it to a dvd recorder and then capture it on the pc through that.

I highly recommend NOT taking pictures of the tv with a camera. It can be done, but is easily screwedup

emu will probably be the easiest -- what's the best/easiest emulator to use for this instance. I don't even care about playing the damn game via emu, just want to take some pics.

Either epsxe or pcsx. I prefer Epsxe.

What game do you want screenshots of?

In epsxe press F8 - it'll show up in the /epsxe/snap/ directory. Use p.e.op.s soft GPU plugin for pixel accurate screenshots, or pete's open GL for high-res 3D.

Heh. On your keyboard at the top there's a row of keys with F and a # - F8 is the button you press to take a screen shot. It's saved in the /snap/ directory inside the epsxe program's directory.

There are different plugins included with epsxe to render the game in different ways. One called "Pete's Open GL" can show 3D stuff at higher resolutions using your video card's 3D capabilities.
There's a Retro Gaming 101 article about it here:
http://www.racketboy.com/retro/sony/ps1 ... tings.html
and a forum thread here:

If you're playing a 2D game tho, a different plugin will render the game at near pixel-perfect accuracy showing it at the same resolution the PS1 would show on your TV. It's called "P.E.OP.S" (short for Pete's Open Source Software or something).

Wouldn't PSX be the better choice as it aim more towards accuracy instead of: "OMG TEH FILTARZ!"
