Dreamcast -> Genesis/Mega Drive adapter

Post by slk486 »

Has anyone ever seen an adapter for using Dreamcast controllers on a Genesis/Mega drive?

I'd like to use my Dreamcast Arcade stick with my Mega Drive, instead of flooding the house with arcade sticks for all consoles :)

Not likely, PSX is the most common, has adaptors to work on various systems. A work around is to mod your Dreamcast Arcade controller with a gutted PS1 PCB.

Hmm.. Don't wanna mess up my DC Arcade stick.

Anyone know if any of the Genesis sticks are microswitched?

Ask Satoshimatrix, this is an area of interest for him.

All of the various maker ones I've dealt with were all rubber dome except the NES/SNES Capcon Fighter stick is microswitch for the stick and rubber dome for the buttons, so the Genesis version should be the same.

Thanks I'll try to locate one. In the meantime, I've been eyeing the Tototek adapters, to connect my X-Arcade to my Genesis, which would be even better.
