Hey guys. Does anyone here have the Final Fantasy VII Chinese remake that came out a few years ago?
I am interested in buying a copy and was wondering if I might be able to look at its PCB.
The big question I have is if it would be possible to use the chinese version's PCB as a donor board for a reproduction of the English translation patch. That's assuming that the whole thing is not a series of gloptops.
I wonder since the game's ROM is 2MB. If the game isn't a globtop, those would be some massive CHR and PRG banks!
I've been playing the english patch on my PSP and think it's really special enough to warrant all the hard work of tracking down the original and then sending it off to a skilled NES reproduction master.
If my plan is sound, does anyone know where I might look for a copy? Thanks.

Holy crap, this game got an English patch? I'm almost tempted to play it now.

There's a guy working on giving it a facelift too.

Wow, if they could address this game's dire problems we might have a winner here. It could go from a purely novel experience to a halfway decent game.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be gloptops. I can't imagine anyone making Famicom carts this late in the game using huge chips.

Wow $300 with $20 shipping? What does it weigh? like 5 pounds?
Wonder if you could pop this sucker on a flash cart and play it that way...
