...and it really is amazing as I've always heard. It took me about 15 mins to actually find the first Colossus. But I guess that's part of the game right? Me, getting used to being alone in this vast world?
At any rate, the first time I saw him, it was one of those "holy shit!" moments. Really incredible.
I can easily grab on the back of his leg and stab him to bring him to his knee. But after that he just destroys me. I've continued like five times. Stumped on how to climb him further.
But yeah. I'm really happy to finally experience this. Thought I'd share.

It's a great game, but I recently played it and the colossi weren't as impressive as from five years ago. The recent 3D Castlevania has them as well, but still unimpressive.

It's probably my favorite game ever...I only sold it b/c I had an extra
I would highly recommend not using a guide the first time around even though it can get really frustrating at some points...it kind of kills the giant lonely world feeling.

You're just now playing it? Dang... Better late than never I suppose.
I remember playing the demo and then I rushed out the next day to buy it. An undeniably awesome game.

Lol. The first Colossus is like a wee baby compared to what you have coming. Wait till you see the Flying Colossus.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I thought it was a great game, but the camera nearly ruined it for me. What amazed me most was they were able to make a game that beautiful run nicely on a PS2.

I had Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for PS2 and was thinking about playing them up until the compilation for PS3 was announced. I sold both of them and am now eagerly waiting for it this Spring (April supposedly).

that's the plan. So far I'm just amazed by it. Just the feeling of it. I'm REALLY going to try to not use a guide at all (which is pretty easy for me, cuz I generally don't use guides for any games unless I'm really really stuck).Bradtemple87 wrote:Noise this game is breathtaking, take it all in and dont let anyone spoil it for you!
Anyway, I gather I need to get up to the first one's head -- as I couldn't seem to hit it with the bow and arrow. So I'm guessing I need to find a way up him that ISN'T his back left leg now. I was able to grab onto his club at one point, but couldn't figure out what to do from there.
As you can tell -- I'm taking this game pretty slow anyway. I think I played it for about an hour because I'm also pretty into my NBA 2K9 season right now, AND of course trying to making progress in Riviera.
