VVVVVV Review (Mac/PC)

Post by Satoshi_Matrix »

Hey guys, this review is for the indie Mac/Pc game VVVVVV.

I meant to review this last year but never quite got around to finishing. Oh well, better late than never. Enjoy!

I got it during the crimbo Steam sales for about £1.70. A it's a very solid little game, but not really worth more than a few quid.

The game is a real bargain at $5. Anything else is a downright steal.

Great review. I picked this up in one of the Thanksgiving weekend indie pack sales on Steam with four other games for $5. Absolute steal, and it's one of my favorite 2D games ever.

I entirely agree with your view on the Victoria escort mission; the screenshot you posted under the "Frustration" title was one of my least favorite levels of any game I've played. And it's not because it's challenging, but it's so ridiculously challenging. It's hard enough getting Viridian across (which I only was able to do about five times out of the two-hundred I tried), let alone having to get Victoria across, then get yourself up to the platform.

That one level shouldn't keep anyone from getting this gem, though. You owe it to yourself.
