Silent Hill 3
Just curious to what the significance is of this port.. I see a bunch of streams of this game on Xfire.. I thought the PS2 version was better?

PC port is every bit as good as the ps2 version, except it supports higher resolutions.
It's a fantastic port, I recommend it highly.

I have to agree on the graphics department... It looks like a PS3 game upscaled on a higher end PC.AppleQueso wrote:PC port is every bit as good as the ps2 version, except it supports higher resolutions.

Re: Silent Hill 3
When I played the PC version I experienced zero loading times and no graphical problems like slowdown, glitches, etc.
Conversely, whenever I pop in the PS2 version I notice significant load times and noticeable frame-rate drops. I've also experienced lag while walking through the town of Silent Hill which is something I never experienced in SH2...
PC is the way to go for SH3. The only downside is using the keyboard as the controller. I never got used to it so I just mapped out the keys on a 360 controller.
Have fun!

I really wish Silent Hill 2 & 3 would see a Steam or GOG release. I also don't know why Square-Enix hasn't re-released Final Fantasy VII on a digital distribution site yet.
