Any Fat Princess Fans Here?
It has come up in conversation here before, but does anyone else here like the PSN game Fat Princess? I play it very often, and it is in all likelihood my favorite game on the PS3. If you haven't played it before, it can best be described as a medieval, 3rd-person version of Team Fortress, but even that description doesn't do it justice. It's a blast to play online, despite the many annoying bugs that have yet to be fixed in the game. That's the game's only major downfall, really; the developers didn't take the time to iron out every bug and error in the game.

I played the PSN game at a friends house and had a blast. I am considering getting this game when it gets chep on PSP. However, I would imagine the PSP verison is a lot more buggy.

You would think so, wouldn't you? I have actually encountered fewer bugs on the PSP version than on the PS3 version. I guess they didn't want to screw up twice.GamerMON wrote:However, I would imagine the PSP verison is a lot more buggy.

I've had it for ages, but I don't really understand how to play it. I just gather resources and upgrade the hat machines. That's pretty much it.

This is my mini-guide for how to win at Fat Princess:Niode wrote:I've had it for ages, but I don't really understand how to play it. I just gather resources and upgrade the hat machines. That's pretty much it.
1. Gather resources until all hat machines are upgraded, and the catapult is built
2. Switch to warrior class.
3. Load a bunch of Worker bombs into the catapult, jump in, and launch it, and be sure to carry one yourself.
4. Unleash Hell upon enemy castle: As you move into the throne room, throw the bomb backwards, so no one will follow you.
5. Grab the princess, and mash the D-Pad Up button to get the attention of nearby teammates to help you carry her.
6. Jump over the castle wall, and make your escape. DO NOT STOP FOR ANYTHING!
7. If everything was successful, drop princess in castle dungeon, then guard the castle with your life until the timer finishes.
8. Congratulations! You win!
There are a lot of neat tricks you can use on individual maps [the Worker Springboard trick on the Candy Mountain map is always fun], and it makes you feel good to discover them.

It seems to me like you have a ton of play styles in that game. I tried a demo but I was never near the princess at all, too busy leveling
Re: Any Fat Princess Fans Here?
I've put in easily over a hundred hours in this game. If you wanna play sometime my PSN is MrHealthy. Just FYI though, so many bugs are still in because the developer in charge of maintaining the game (Titan) gave the game over to Atomic Operations (now known as Fun Bits). Additionally, the PSP version was made by SuperVillain Studios. And Santa Monica Studios helped out all 3 devs. So the game has had a bit of a rocky time in terms of development / maintaince.

One of my favorite tricks is to get the LV. 2 Worker, aim my trajectory juuust right in a catapult, so that I land on a structure high enough that no one from below can reach me or even hit me, then rain down bombs from above. The first stage's castle towers are a perfect place for this tactic.
