Is anyone else a fan of the monthly series called Iwata Asks that Nintendo puts on their website? The current one is on 3DS.

I give kudos to Nintendo for putting out these articles. Very fascinating if you like to know the background of the games and consoles.
Here's the DS series of interviews:

Here's the series for the Wii:

Some interesting tidbits from the 3DS article:
1. Nintendo was experimenting with 3D technology on the GBA and the Gamecube but the technology wasn't good enough.
2. They had a version of Luigi's Mansion in 3D on the Gamecube.
If you haven't already, I definitely recommend reading some of these articles. Very insightful...

I want to take a look at IA, but I'm saving it for when I need some quality reading material.

For some reason, I can imagine some homebrew devs having a field day with this information. I know I would, and I would love to see it work.gtmtnbiker wrote:1. Nintendo was experimenting with 3D technology on the GBA and the Gamecube but the technology wasn't good enough.

Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

You're not the only one who reads them
they're pretty cool, I remember in one they said that the dsi was to has 2cartridge slots but was too bulky. Good reads.

Re: Iwata Asks
I absolutely love Iwata Asks!
I have little frustrations like certain game missing from Virtual Console, or having to turn off WPA wifi to race in Mario Kart DS, or the meager 25th commemorative set. Then there are the reasons I love Nintendo, including Animal Crossing or taking the time to published such (in this day and in this medium and on this subject) long and sometimes meandering and often esoteric interview features which must only appeal to the most hardcore fans. And the accompanying photos are sometimes... well I'd say they border on the avant garde!
