Seyken?
Any of you retro game lovers out there try the free mmorpg called Seyken? It is styled and looks like an old console rpg. Wondering whether to try it or not.

Re: Seyken?
actually I was glancing at it just yesterday (in "need" of an MMORPG I'd actually appreciate)
reminded me of FFVI and Chrono Trigger (if we're talking about the same game)
pure 2D couldn't take that long to download?
I'm mostly interested in the combat-engine, since I hate (loathe) the MMORPG fighting of 99% of the games out there

Re: Seyken?
I have been able to launch it from the browser. Have not tried it recently however. Send me a message if you try again later. I could not seem to figure out how to make damage when fighting. Looks like a game I may like if I could figure out how to actually kill something.

Re: Seyken?
For anyone that may check this thread, Seyken has now re-launched!
I played it last night and I think this game is AWESOME! If you like classic rpgs, this is definitely for you.
Because it has just re-launched there are several things not running yet. The quests and the crafting system are down for the moment but will soon be up. Once completely up and running, it is going to be a great game. Even will have some sort of combo system eventually that I am really interested in. The game is complete with dungeons to explore and bosses to fight!
By the way, it is completely free to play. Check it out:

P.S Be sure to create a character in your account before launching the game.

Re: Seyken?
This looks pretty cool. I have bookmarked it to check it out a little later.
You might want to check out an RPG called The Last Scenario if you like this old school RPG style:

I'm planning on checking out both Seyken and the Last Scenario Game JT linked to as soon as I get a chance. Both games look like they could be a lot of fun!

Re: Seyken?
I have trouble finishing the console rpgs, let alone free mmos. I do like the art style of the game though.

Re: Seyken?
Looks awesome!
Reminds me of Graal, (which had LoZ: ALttP sprites,) but this one looks to use Seiken Densetsu 3 sprites..

Re: Seyken?
I am enjoying Seyken so far. I really think it has a lot of potential. I love the simple game play. Is something great to kill time with because you can play it on any computer. I love stuff like this.
I downloaded the Last Scenario but have not tried it yet.
