what are the good xbla games?

Post by final fight cd »

I received a 25 dollar gift card to best buy and I don't really know what to buy. CDs I want are not carried by them and I don't think I want to buy a next gen game. I might be leaning towards buying microsoft xbla points.

So my questions: what are the great xbla games? Are there any good games hitting the market in the near future?

Btw, I have super meat boy, castle crashers, braid, metal slug, and mm9. I took a peak last night through their market place but nothing really caught my eye. But I could have overlooked a few.

Here's a few I got which I like that you didn't list - I also enjoyed most of your original list (these are in no particular order).

Scott Pilgrim The Game
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX
Shank
Arkedo Series - 03 PIXEL!
Space Invaders Extreme
Alien Hominid HD
Bionic Commando:Rearmed
Limbo

Planning to get these when I play through a few more of the ones I just got
Rez HD
Ikaruga
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved (or 2)
Trials HD
Splosion Man

Looking forward to Radiant Silvergun and Fez

If you're not sure, just download a bunch of demos.

i just looked up gameplay of shadow complex and it looks pretty good. do you know the size of the game? it doesn't require extra memory, does it? i ask because a comment on youtube makes it sound like it is a decent size game.

Magic Sword. It was also on the SNES in about 1992. It's actually a really good game. I prefer it to Final Fight, to be honest. It's a bit of a side scrolling dungeon crawler (but climbing a tower), where you can upgrade your weapons and find and switch companions along the way. REALLY fun, to be honest. I don't think you would regret this purchase. Watch a youtube video of it, maybe, or try the SNES ROM.

Of course the other games suggested by others are great, too!
