Skyblazer (Karuraoh) for Super Famicom why so $$$$$

Post by mjmjr25 »

Anyone know why skyblazer for Super Famicom sells for over $100? Simply a rarity thing?

This is the 2nd time i've seen it go over $100 when the us version is like $5.

That is odd. It is about 15 bucks on Japanese websites for a loose cart, 40 bucks for complete. Hmmmmmmm.......

I wouldn't say it's rare in Japan but perhaps not really common.

I do say though, I had good fun with this game. "HOT HOT TOWEL!" Is all I could hear when the dude attacks.

Yeah, 2nd time i've seen this. First time thought nothing of it, this time thought it was 2 people who were messing around and thought they were being cute, but it had 3 bidders - all w/high feedback. I'm missing something...

It's a great game - a hidden gem of the era. I got a perfectly mint US copy for about 3 bucks a while back. Not sure why the JP version would be so much....

It's a trick to get people to buy it you get your friends to bid on the item to bump the price up and make it seem legitimate.
It's up to the consumer to stay vigilant I mean a lot of old games get posted as rare with an inflated price.

The sellers are just taking advantage of collectors but these things are not important to anyone but collectors anyway.
I personally refuse to pay ridiculous amounts of money for a game just because it is rare.

Btw a quick search I just found a pal Copy of Sky Blazer for 8 pounds including postage.

The way I see it is that it's nice to be able to play a game legitimately and on the original console however it's not the only way these days.
If it costs too much just leave it play something else unless of course you have more money than sense in which case by whatever you want
