Has anybody played any of these? Any recommendations?
Preferably not RPGs or anything with a lot of story.
I'll try and get a list together of Import PS1 games available on PSN

Yeah I have Gaia Seed.. It's pretty fun and very similar to R-Type.. Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors was just released on the 13th and is a spiritual prequel to Waku Waku: 7 and from the video's I've seen, the music is pretty good..

Re: PS1 Imports on PSN
Why bother?
Just buy a 10,000yen JP PSN card and have WAY more selection for just a little bit more money, PLUS PC Engine games and a few PS3 shoot 'em ups not available out of Japan (well, one anyway).
Sure you can wait and wait and wait and hope that stuff like Dodonpachi, Gradius II, Gate of Thunder, etc. will be released on the "import section", but... why wait when it is easily available on the JP site?

Re: PS1 Imports on PSN
I've only tried Dezaemon Plus. Personally, it may take some time before I finally begin to work on an original shmup.
But if anyone here has made any shmups with this, you MUST upload it here.
Until then, I'm just gonna fiddle around with the editor (made this really cool-sounding creepy musical sting) and playing the few games that come with it.

Re: PS1 Imports on PSN
The only one I have is Gaia Seed, but I thoroughly enjoy it. I'm planning to transfer it to my PSP as well because I can see myself playing it in short spurts here and there.
I'm hesitant about purchasing games on PSN, since I like to have physical copies of games to the point where I try not to spend much on digital copies. However, I'm more willing to spend the cash on imports since it's generally so much cheaper than actually importing.
