iso of saturn version of grandia in english?

i've heard the saturn version of grandia is better than the ps1 version for some reason...but all the isos of the saturn version are in japanese

are there any isos that are translated? i know a lot of sfc games have them

There isn't a translation for this game on Saturn though; reason being that the game was released in the US on PS1. It takes a considerable amount of time and effort to translate a game (N64, PS1, Saturn and up take a lot more effort than 16-bit titles); usually if a game has seen a US release on one platform there is not much drive to translate another platform. Most translators would probably want to pick up a game that has not seen a US release to bring in something new.

However, I did notice that on December 1st something called Grandia Redux was released... looks to be a patch for the original game that tweaks and changes things up

There's a text script on Gamefaqs. If you really want to play the Saturn version you can read along with that, although the entire game isn't there. That's how I played the game back before the PS1 version existed.

If given the choice, I'd probably play the PS1 version just for simplicity, but I don't know of what downgrades had to be made for the PS1 version

it's not really a deal breaker i just read the frame rate was worse.

also thanks for the info on that patch. is it for the saturn or psx version?
