Mame sound stutter

Post by HungryGarou »

I'm getting annoying bits of stuttering audio during gameplay. I'm running Mameuifx32 0.138, if it matters which version and variant I'm using.

Could be a h/w issue. Though I've ran MAME on a Celeron 400mhz PC and it did just fine so I'm not sure what to say.
Sometimes when I was into NeoRageX a long time ago, I'd realize that one of the ROMs had some bad audio files in it and I'd just need to find another good version to alleviate the issue.

Most of the time a limitation of hardware and or the emulator running a game. I still hate losing Gyruss sound samples in the newer mame.

Press F11 do display the game running speed.

If you're not running at 100% with 0 frameskip, than the stuttering is due to your hardware not being fast enough to emulate that particular title.
