This is a video of a really cool looking arcade in Illinois. You have to watch the whole thing though because there is some footage of the actor that played Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat II playing on a Mortal Kombat II machine as Shang Tsung.

COME ON NY!!! I don't feel like traveling into chinatown just to play some arcade games. I hope this is a trend that will continue. That flat rate until 2am is a great idea. Makes it more affordable for people who are bad at shmups.

How could I have never heard of this place when I live so close?? I just took my nephew to Brookfield Zoo a couple months ago! I can't wait to go check this out! I guess I don't like Mario quite enough to get the whole burlesque thing happening on Milwaukee Ave. though...

Is it just me, or did a lot of those cabs look homemade? Not saying theres anything wrong with that (and god knows, it looks like they do a good job) but a lot of those cabs looked different, particularly in the monitors, than i remember them being. Could just be clouds of nostalgia fogging my memory too...

Nope, they all appear to be legit.

I guess it's seems that way thanks to how they're all properly maintained and the screens aren't all wonky like at most movie theaters or mall attached arcades.

The D&B near my house committed sacrilege and instead of repairing and restoring their Daytona USA full 8-cab 50'' motion seat row's screens properly they decided to stick LCD panels in each.

1080p 15:9 LCD panels......

Can anyone say laggy, blurry, stretched Daytona?
