In the movie Scott and Knives play a game that you control with a DDR-looking pad and has ninjas in it.

Does it exist?

There's a commercial for wells fargo playing right now about a dude who likes old stuff and he's sitting in front of a tv with an old game in back. I don't know if it's a real game or not. . .

You know I wonder why they couldn't just show a real DDR game. It's not like it would have hurt the movie in any way. Truthfully, a DDR game with ninjas is kind of silly

Copyright and royalties. Whoever produced the movie would have to pay whoever made DDR money for using their game in the movie.

Also, the ninja game ties in to the story, with the fight against gideon and the nega scott bit at the end. I don't know if they could use DDR in the plot and make it as cool as that.

I thought her being a ninja at the end was just a general video game/anime thing. Ninja chicks are pretty common. The ninja lesbian dissappearing in a puff of smoke brought to mind many japanese rpgs and animes to me. Many of the references in Scott Pilgrim are very general like that. I didn't notice many very obscure gaming references
