Knockoff DS rumble pack - opinions?

Post by Hobie-wan »

Anyone used one of these knockoff DS rumble packs? I'm assuming it's pretty much going to be just a little weighted motor and a resistor and capacitor or two, but anyone used one of these? For less than $3 I figure it's probably worth a shot but thought I'd ask anyway.

Sorry I can't be much help here but I've only used the official ones...
What games are you planning to play with it? Because even some games with the official DS rumble pak are not playable with it. The rumble pak gets really distracting sometimes. (And "pak" is not misspelled. That's the official spelling...)

Also, I've browsed and seen the official ones pretty cheap ($3-4) on amazon. If you are interested in the nintendo brand.

The Rumble Pack that came with my M3 seems to be pretty good.

Well, $3-4 plus another $3-4 shipping. That one I linked is $3 shipped and it is a shortie that fits flush in the DS Lite instead of sticking out like a GBA cart. The Metroid Pinball I got used didn't come with the rumble pack and was thinking about it due to the pinball thread.

Just so you know, I picked up a first-party one at GameStop for $2. You might want to check there.

All righty, I'll keep that in mind even though it will stick out. They were more than that last time I'd seen one.

If anyone has used one of the shorties I'd still like to know, but thanks for the feedback so far. :)

You may want to pay a little bit more and get the 3 in 1, depending on what you'd like to do with it. If you just want rumble of course not.

I already have an R4 (knockoff haha) if I want to play some 8 and 16 bit console stuff on the go so this would be purely for rumble.
