I'm trying to bring a Commodore 128D back to life and I need a new a/v cable. Does anyone know if the 128D uses the same a/v cable as the C64 and the regular 128? I would assume so, but I want to be sure before buying one. This is the one I'm looking at:

I asked the seller but he's never used a 128D before.

Re: Commodore 128D a/v cable
Without trying to pull my 128d out of its mounting, I am 99 percent positive it is the same cable. The other 1 percent is pretty sure.
I think that 8 Din cable is a safe bet, the older Commodores have a five Din connector. The 128ds are newest and last of the "C64" line. From the EBay description you have the option of a regular composite connection or the proprietary rear Commodore Monitor "S-Video" RCA Chroma/Luma plugs. Those are so much more robust then the crappy industry standard S-Video plug. You can get also get an adaptor to connect the Chroma/Luma cable to a regular S-Video input.
Two video - Chroma and Luma
One Audio - Mono Audio

Note the red, black and white connectors are for the back of the Commodore monitor.EBay Description wrote:Connect the DIN plug into the audio/video port on your Commodore machine. Anytime!
Here are a couple of things to look for.
Omega Race, play with a 2600 game paddle. Simulates the Arcade original Spinner! Any 2600 controller will work on the Commodore.
A very good game is Cliff Hanger, inspired by the Roadrunner cartoons.
A tease for you, a blue cart to speed the C64 four times faster.
Hard to find in the wild, but keep an eye open!
