Which VGA box to get for my DC

Post by Sailorcancer »

Getting an HDTV, and I just wanted to know if I could use this VGA box would be good for me.

Is that good?

Stupid question but how would I get sound if I connected my DC to the HDTV via VGA? Would I just get cords for the sound part of the Composite cables?

The VGA box provides sound via a headphone jack or RCA, but you'll have to supply the cables yourself

The $5 extra is honestly a small price to pay for the added flexibility of the AV/S-Video outputs for those small handful of games that don't support VGA.
If you're going to have it hooked up to a TV, you will probably want a headphone-to-RCA adapter for audio (very inexpensive)
Here's an example:

yeah you can get midi-RCA adapters at Wal-mart, Radioshits, any of those kinda stores. Cost like 4 bucks.

Glad to see the universal hate for RadioShack. Lol, I wasn't allowed in mine for a few years, until the staff was replaced and they didn't recognize my face. I've got stories.

Radioshack; You've got questions, we've got blank stares.
