Saturn's Magic Card V2

Hi all sega fans

I bought today the "Magic Card V2" for Sega Saturn and is now coming to my home ...
like this:



I have bought because I know that is very dificult to find. Specialy in my coutry (Portugal).

All I know, this card helps the swap trick isnt?
I know how works the swap trick, but, I dont have sure how it works with this card
I need some special disc with the card like this? (eBay photo)



Or I only need the single card and some original game? Because I have only bought the card.

yes normally it should help to use backup, it may stop the cd from spinning to help the CD change. Tell us about your test. I didn't know there was a CD with that card what is on it ? The documentation ? more ? This card should be dumped

That card assists the swap trick process.

You have to short out the disk tray door (just like in the a regular swap trick).

And then when you boot up with that disk it tells you step by step on screen which disks to put in through out the swap trick. It slows down the process to so you don't have to do it so quickly.

Downside you don't get to use any other expansion carts when using it.

Eu também comprei á dias o MAGIC CARD V2, mas sem cd.
Já exprimentei e´não consigo nada.
Deve ser mesmo como o lordofduct explicou.

Burned copy won't work. It has the security ring on it (from what I remember)... which can't be duplicated.

But also from what I remember, you don't really need that disk either. It is the card that does all the work for ya, and you can just use a original game in place of the Strong Card CD.

Well, I know how to do the swap trick.
But I dont know, and I want to know, how to do with this "Magic Card V2" and, if possible, without the "Magic Strong CD"...

In Racketboy's website dont have nathing about about that. Or I dont see

IT WORKS without the strong CD! (Funciona kratos!)

The problem with the card is the slot on is puted
If I force the card to down it works but if I dont, dont work. Maybe some damaged pin on the card or on saturn ..

Puted the card, the game and turn the saturn ON. When it works, It show the animated sega saturn's logo and the blue sega's logo like all games but, before that, shows some leters saying "Magic Card V2"
Before that the Saturn go to the "audio play screen" and say to change the CD for one original and press reset.
I do that and it loads the CD again even the blue sega's logo and go again for the "audio play screen" but now, it tells to change the original CD for the backup game and press start in the pad...

and "vuala" ...

now it works very good!!! If I plug the card but before I push a little to up (without disconect) it works without problems!
