Out of This World : SNES ?

Post by fvgazi »

Has anyone played this. I just recently saw videos of it. It reminds me of all these new games coming out for XBLA and PSN (limbo and such). Looks like I can score some pretty cheap copies of it. The game runs on e-bay for about $10.
For some reason it blew my mind. I had no idea something like that existed on a retro system.

that was one of my favorite games on the snes. :)

there was like a 15th anniversary edition for the pc. I bought that a while back, it was as much fun as always, and looked amazing.

Yes, I had this back in the day for DOS. Never got very far in it as I'm not a fan of the precise memorization that's required. Definitely a cool style and well produced. It was on a lot of platforms, Amiga, Apple IIgs, GBA, 3DO, etc. There's also a sequel on the Sega CD, Heart of the Alien.

So true, a lot of "Retro" in downloads, a good thing!

An old classic game. I have the PC DOS version. The opening sequence is phenomenal. God, I hated those slugs! There was a follow up game too called Heart of the Alien. Also a later non-related game with a kid, forgot the name, Its on the PSX somewhere.

I rented this game back in the day, and eventually ended up owning it (SNES).

The front cover for Heart of the Alien reads "Out of This World Parts I and II". I haven't noticed this until now, I just knew of it as the sequel to OOTW. Does this mean it contains the original came, OOTW, plus a second game?
