Pachislot sellers in Japan?

Post by winds »

Hey guys,
I know we have a few members from Japan on this board so I was hoping someone could answer my question. I am a huge collector/fan of the Suikoden series and I recently learned Konami is releasing a Pachislot machine of Suikoden IV in Japan soon. Being the collector I am, i'm instantly in the market to buy this thing. Does anyone know where I would even begin to search for buying this thing? Are there online stores that would sell this machine? Are these even released for the public to buy? Even if I had to use a deputy service like rinkya. I really want this :)

The link to the machine is here, or well the trailer for it: http://www.kpenet.jp/genso_teaser.html

Thanks!

Prepare to spend a pretty penny. New pachisuro machines are NOT cheap. I always see Pachinko machines at second-hand stores in Japan, but they are not complete. One of the biggest sites in Phoenix777, they are a pachisuro buyer/seller. I am sure Rinkya can help you with the purchase, but shipping is another issue. These machines are VERY delicate and cannot just be shipped in a cardboard box. Also, these machines are heavy as hell.

To give you an idea of how much they cost, the Onimusha slot (used) costs 398,000 yen. ($4,800). They sell Parodius ones (used) for 198,000 yen ($2,450). So I would imagine a brand new machine would be around $6,000+. Remember, these machines are used for gambling, so they are going to charge a lot for these things since they practically pay for themselves. There are a lot of cheap old ones on yahoo auctions because no business would want to carry an old machine. Gamblers want the newest and best.

If you are bank rollin, phoenix is probably your best bet.

This Evangelion one is pretty sweet, but it is way too much for me! ($3,100) :(

Sweet! Thanks for the reply. Wow I didn't realize they would cost in the 1000's. I was sure maybe a hundred bucks or two would cover the cost of the machine and then shipping would be a different story. I saw the resident evil pachislot machine going for quite cheap on yahoo japan auctions, how often does this happen? For example here:

Pachislots and Pachinkos are a pain to ship from Japan. A friend of mine Just bought a Star Trek pachinko and it cost him $500 with $400 shipping.

hashiriya already gave you the best site, now its just getting the money. I would highly suggest waiting two or three years, the price should drop as they are being phased out.

Hey fastbilly1, would you be able to tell me how your friend got it shipped from Japan to him? What service did he use? What kind of packaging was used?
Cheers!

I will try to get you the specifics on the company that was used, but I know how they were packaged. He bought two (at the $500/400 price) they were wrapped in bubble wrap, put inside a cardboard moving box and attached to a pallet. The shipping company was very knowledgeable in how to ship pachinkos and they both came in in stellar shape. There was only one problem in that one of the stands for it was damage in shipping, but it is just wood.

Thanks a lot! Yeah if you could also get the company info that would be hugely helpful to me :)
Hopefully phoenix gets this in soon or japan auctions.
