Another great review. I have come to realize I keep buying the games you recommend.

A good thing, I bought the Japanese PS2 version, loved it. I also rediscovered Katamari. :D

Okay I gotta draw the financial line, not going to buy a 360. No, stop tempting me! :x

Obscure 360 games that are actually kind of awesome like Earth Defense Force 3? Well, first I suggest you track down the first two games Monster Attack and Global Defense Force (both of which I reviewed). the PS2 games do things differently than 2017 and I think each compliments each other nicely.

As for 360 unknowns, let me run down my shelf and see what I can pick out:

Bullet Witch - A Japanese 360 game by small developer Cavia that saw a limited release in the west. It's a ridiculous game about a witch with guns who mows down zombies. It's a 7/10 game at most, but its enjoyable in a campy way. It goes for around $8.

Dark Sector - Developed by Canadian company Digital Extremes, this is a gorey and enjoyable third person shooter/action game that sold very poorly. I literally picked up a shrink wrapped copy for $2. Also on PS3.

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard - Screw the media and everyone who says this game is terrible. It's fantastic. This is a parody game of third person shooters, most notably Gears of War. The writing is hilarious and so are the enemies you fight which range from water-gun parodies of the Master Chief from Halo to 2D sprites of Nazi soldiers taken right out of Wolfenstien 3D. You gotta play this one. Also on PS3.

Kameo - This was a launch title (or near launch away) and is a really enjoyable platformer originally planned as a Gamecube game, and it really has that Nintendo charm to it. You can find it for the cost of a cup of coffee.

Ninja Blade - BEST NINJA GAME EVER! A From Software game. You are a ninja (not shinobi) and go and kill zombie worm people and things. The game is wayyyyyy over the top and virtually unknown. A real gem. Be warned its kind of difficult and has QTE's.

Tenchu Z - A From Software game. You can create a Shinobi (not ninja) and go and stealthfully run on rooftops, jump down and stab a dude in the neck with a katana and kill him before he hits the ground. What's not to like?

WET - I'm not sure if this can really be considered an unknown, but it's a really great almost arcade style third person shooter starring a chick so badass it makes Samus look like a wussy. (erm, ignoring Other M)

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm heading to my local game store today... out of that list "Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard" looks like my style the most.

I played it. It is terrible. I "get" the humor - which isn't very funny, but the controls, graphics, and gameplay are horrid.

shwisha don't let what dsheinem and the rest of the majority of reviewers out there think sway you. With all due respect to dsheinem as he is fully entitled to his opinion, I completely disagree with what he said.

Eat Lead is a fully enjoyable shooter with good play mechanics, good controls and decent graphics. Keep in mind that most people also didn't like the EDF trilogy because they were buggy simple and had numerous other flaws.

Since the games I listed can be found on the cheap, I suggest you pick them all up and see for yourself. At worst, you won't like them and have wasted a couple bucks. On the other hand, you could discover a game you'll love, like me and Matt Hazard.
