Thinkin' bout getting New game, (old game, but new to me)

Shikigami no Shiro 2 for Dreamcast.

I've played it plenty of times and I like it. Seriously considering adding it to my collection. So I figure why not talk about what we all like/dislike about the game?

I have it for GameCube. It's easily one of my favorite Shmups of all time. Get it.

Positive is that it's a really fun game , negative is that it's pretty expensive , especially the 2 disc Limited Edition .
Worst part is that i still need to buy it :(

Graphics 8/10
Sound 8/10
Gameplay 8/10

Its a good game but by no means the best shooter. Personally i found the menus over complicated and the characters are far far from balanced. In fact the one with the witch special weapon is so strong they practiacally play the level for you if you hold down A.

However these points aside it looks and sounds great and the increase in firepower when you near a bullet really does make you go into harms way. Also as a side note, apart from a few of the end bosses the game is pretty easy, may be a good or bad thing depending on what you want.

No idea what its current value is but i'd pay up to £30 for it probably. I'd get the sequal just dont have a wii...

Why get that, when you can get Castle of Shikigami II for the PS2 for cheaper

If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

1) dont have ps2
2) dont have a tv in my primary living quarters.
3) I prefer dreamcast stuff, call it fanboyism

The PS2 port is the worst version , low resolution and just looks grainy and has lots of unintended slowdown in the later stages .
The Xbox version is better , the Gamecube version looks great but the speed is not accurate which leaves the DC version and with the Arcade being Naomi , basicly a Dreamcast on a board the DC version is the most accurate .

Lol, no comment on the attrocious voice acting on the PS2 version? I bought it for the gameplay, but couldn't stand it due to the horrid voice acting... Haven't seen many games where the voice actor's lines don't match the on screen text :?
