Last test: The full lists of the games I want (Almost)

Post by Erik_Twice »

After reading, testing and trimming down the list I finally got it to the final stages. No bad games or things that I would never play, just the best of the best.

There are no modern PC or NDS games on the list because the list would change pretty fast.

And I want your thoughts on it! Games that I'm not sure about gettign will be marked with (-) after the title. Those games I already have are marked with =

Gameboy/Gameboy Color

Metal Gear Solid (-)
Motocross Maniacs (-)
All the Pokémon games boxed (Missing those precious boxes =/)

SMS

Phantasy Star
Spellcaster
Wonderboy
Zillon

DC

18 Wheeler
Armada
ChuChu Rocket
Cosmic Smash
Confidential Mission (I like the game, but probably can't play it)
Daytona USA =
Grandia II (-)
Jet Set Radio
Mars Matrix
Rez
San Francisco Rush
Shenmue
Shenmue II
Space Channel 5
The Typing of the Dead
Toy Commander
Zero Gunner

PSX

Final Fantasy Tactics
Intelligent Cube (Perhaps not, it's expensive)
Internal Section (Perhaps not, I would need to import it)
Klonoa
Metal Gear Solid (-)
Rayman (Already have a modern PC version, so probably not)
Wipeout =

GBA

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance =
Fire Emblem
Golden Sun =
Golden Sun II =
Iridion II
Iridion 3D (-)
Kurukuru Kukurin =
Motocross Maniacs (Or similar name)
River City Ramson EX (Better than the NES version AFAIK)
Sega Arcade Gallery
Super Metroid
TloZ: A link to the past

PS2

Disgaea =
Disgaea 2 =
Gradius V
Ico =
Kingdom Hearts = (Not that I like it, to be frank)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance =
Odin Sphere =
Project Zero =
R-Type Final
Shadow of the Colossus
SMT: Lucifer's call
SMT: Digital Devil Saga =
SMT: Digital Devil Saga 2 =
Persona 3 FES = (Still stuck in the same place, too lazy to raise a character)
Persona 4 =
We Love Katamari

GAMECUBE

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
F-Zero GX (-)
Ikaruga
Pac-Man Vs.
Pikmin =
Skies of Arcadia (I will probably pass, it seems to average to me)
Zelda Four Swords Adventure

MEGADRIVE

Dynamite Headdy
Flashback (Box and manual) (Perhaps another version is better?)
MERCS
MUSHA (-)
OutRun 2019 (-) (Just for the lols, I would pick it up if I see it)
Phantasy Star IV (It's the best PS so I may as well play it even if it is too normal for my tastes)
Rambo III (Box and manual) (Should get rid of this haha)
Rystar
Sonic the Hedgehog =
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 =
Space Harrier II
Super Fantasy Zone (Box and manual)
Super Off-Road (Box and manual) (-)
Talmit's adventure (Box and manual) (I have it in MAME so I will probably pass)
Vectorman
Zoom! (Box and manual) (Most annoying voice in a game)

SNES

Aladdin
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Shin Megami Tensei if...(Reproduction)
Starfox (-) (Probably not)
Super Bomberman 2
Super Castlevania IV
Super Mario All Stars
Uniracers
Zombies ate my neighbours

NES

Battletoads
Castelian = (Most would say it's bad but I always liked it for some reason)
Contra
Crackout (Box and Manual)
Gimmick! (Repro, impossible to find. Know as Mr. Gimmick in Japan)
Ducktales
Gyruss
Kid Icarus (-) (Don't know if it's worth it)
Megaman
Megaman 2
Mother (Reproduction)
MULE
Pinball Quest
Snake: Rattle and Roll
Super C
Super Spy Hunter (My cousin used to have it complete, but it is gone =/)

486 (The computer era)

Alone in the dark
A-Train (I lost the discs!   )
AIV: Networks
Command and Conquer: Red Alert (With it's two expansions)
Day of the Tentacle
Descent
Descent II (Perhaps, depending on how much I like the first. Try this one first?)
Discworld series (-) (Used to want the full list but they seem quite bad and hard for all the wrong reasons)
Fragile Alliance
Genewars =
Grim Fandango
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
King's Quest V (Best part of the series?)
Loom
Magic Carpet (-) (Seems fun, but not sure. Try part two better?)
Maniac Mansion
Monkey Island 1, 2 and 3
Myst (-) (Doesn't strike me as good enough for me or today)
Prince of Persia (Liked it back when it was new. Bad controls may make it unplayable for me)
Railroad Tycoon = (Yay!)
Seven Kingdoms (Have a bad print, want better)
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
SimAnt (-) (Looks cool, haven't played it)
SimTower
Syndicate (Not sure, seems kind of mediocre to me,what do you think?)
The Dig
Theme Hospital
The Incredible Machine: Contraptions
Total Anihilation
Transarctica
Transport Tycoon Deluxe (Outclassed by OpenTTD, but want to have it)
UFO: Enemy Unknown
UFO: Terror from the deep (-) (Not sure, seems redundant having the first one)
UFO: Apocalypse

So, what do you think?

And yeah, no fighting games, barely any Gameboy games, no N64 nor Saturn. I will bring my fireproof suit =D

Motocross Maniacs is a must-have classic GB title. Get it!

I think your PS2 list needs more shmuppage if you're into shmups.
The SMS list is missing Action Fighter and Spy VS Spy!!!

Kid Icarus definitely isn't worth it. The price has gone up since a new game has been announced. Even if the price didn't go up I have a hard time recommending Kid Icarus. I feel that the game is an inferior version of Metroid. Try it out first before you buy it. (If you do like it there's another one on the Game Boy as well.)
---
And good call on Aladdin. It's a pretty fun game. (Not joking)

Edit: And Metal Gear on GBC is pretty fun if you look past the Game Boy's limitations. It's an extremely overlooked game in the Metal Gear series. Also, I think the story isn't half bad from what I remember.

Oh and I think the cigarettes are still in the game. I think they call it a "fogger" but we really know what it is.

I agree with your GBA choices. FFTA and fire emblem are great games. Aladdin for SNES is great too.

for the GB, you should take a look at Mole Mania. Great puzzle game and a gem for the system.

I for one think Kid Icarus is a great game. Its hard, but thats half the satisfaction in beating it. And Grandia 2 for the DC is good. Take the minus off that one. If you got a DC, then get it. Dont pass on Skies of Arcadia. Its a great rpg. Its different, thats what makes it unique and fun. And why pass on Musha? Its a good shooter. Otherwise it wouldnt be so valuable. Since you are getting so many games, might as well pick up Starfox simply because its a 3D game for snes and a part of gaming history. It costs like 10 bucks. Not that big a deal. If you lost the discs for A-Trian, consider getting it for PSX? I got it and its fun. Simant is the shit. Nobody else could make an ant simulation that good. Syndicate is fun, strategy and whatnot. Lastly, if you get one X-Com, you need them all. Nothing redundant about that. They arent expensive, and they are all great games.

Add Phantom Brave to your PS2 list if you like Disgaea
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I like Phantom Brave more than Disgaea, but I cannot ever finish it. I just rage so much while playing. That's one world that doesn't deserve to be saved.

Poor Marona ;-;

Final stages of a games list? Impossible. There will always be something new to discover. My games list has grown instead of shrunk. For every game I buy I discover two more I want. Obviously there's no new games coming out for these systems (you know what I mean) so the list will hit a wall eventually, but it hasn't happened yet.
