Game dev Story

I'm actually kind of jealous of this. Kind of weird, this week, Naruto Ulimate Ninja Storm 2 actually made me want a PS3 for the first time, now this is making me want an iOS device.

No, I don't know japanese. (For those who point out the PC version)

I bought an iPad for the missus last weekend (they had a price drop after they announced the iPad 2) and bought Game Dev Story after hearing so many good things about it. Decided to give it a short try before sleep... the next thing I realised, it was already 3am!

Who woulda thought running your own games company would be so addictive!

Great game but it's very easy to get into a pattern of releasing the same titles that sell well and becoming the next Activision. Also designing and releasing your own console isn't as good as it sounds.

What the heck, didn't know this thread still existed. Good thing those subs don't expire.

Anyways, I did get kind of bored of it, once I did become "activision" like you said.
But trying new things was always fun. T'was worth it imo.

 Sorry for bumping an old thread, didn't feel like creating a brand new thread when I found this one, especially with only one post in it.

I haven't managed to become an Activision but I can imagine it becoming old pretty fast once it does. Still, for the amount of gameplay I've squeezed out of it so far, it's worth the $2.99 I paid for it. Too bad I missed out when it was on sale.

No problem, the mods are always saying to search the forum first. Anyways, I paid $4.99, and still thought it was worth it. So that's my other 2 cents.

That is the exact behaviour we want to see on the forum. We would rather you bump an old thread that is relevant to the topic than see a hundred of one threads all with different information in them.

Also, thank you for using the (underused it would seem) search function.

That's me, always trying to be the model Racketboy citizen. Nyahaha!

Anyways, I got my first Hall of Fame game yesterday... unfortunately it was released on the PC, so it didn't sell very well :(

I would have developed it for the Intrendo Game Kid, but it was discontinued right before I started development. I'm too poor to buy licenses for any of the new consoles... so looks like I'm stuck making awesome games no one will play...
