I'm starting to do this party night once a week at the college using their projectors, and I also just recently moved in with 4(!) other people, so I'm in a good position to play some good 3-4 multiplayer games.
I don't care about genre or whatever. I just want everyone's opinion as to what are really good games for Playstation and PS2.

All of these are for the PS1:rattboi wrote:I'm starting to do this party night once a week at the college using their projectors, and I also just recently moved in with 4(!) other people, so I'm in a good position to play some good 3-4 multiplayer games.

Bomberman Party Edition -- not to be confused wit h Bomberman World. This is truly a superb title, heavily customizable as to how you want your Bomberman experience to go. Beautiful explosions
Devil Dice -- Take a puzzler and turn it into a battle game for four (five, I think -- with four on a multitap, and one person plugged into the first port). This is a fairly cerebral game, but very frantic.
Poy Poy I and II -- predecessor of the arena bash 'em ups, such as Powerstone. Pretty good.
Crash Team Racing -- PSX answer to Mario Kart of the N64. Vastly superior, in my mind -- one of the best cart racers, even to this day.
Crash Bash -- Mini games galore -- colorful, frantic, fun.
Thrill Kill -- four players are supported. Really don't know if its fun. But play the game that outraged the prudish.
You Don't Know Jack -- Trivia game, much fun.
Some more great 3-4 player games
PS1:
Micro Maniacs
- pure genious, possible to play 4ply without multitap, 2 people can share 1 controller!
Circuit Breakers
- _highly_ underrated. I don't remember if it allows 4 ply with two controllers, or if it needs multitap
Micro Machines V3
- not bad either, but above two are vastly superior. This has controller sharing option too (I think).
On PS2:
Time Splitters 2
- perfect
maybe that new micro machines on PS2? Never played it myself though.

Poy Poy 2 can not get enough love. The first game was a bit too simple (though still fun), but the second added so fucking much to the battles that it rendered the original game obsolete. Was there ever an english release of the game? I wish I could find my Japanese disc ...something tells me it was in the box of Saturn and Dreamcast cases that magically found its way into the trashcan while I wans't home...
