I don't play my portables very much, but like many collectors out there, I find it very hard to part with things. I was thinking of selling my PSP 1000 and trading up to a 3000, probably the Big Boss bundle. Before you say, "NOT WORTH IT", let me just say that my primary reason to get a 3000 would be for the Output to TV option. The PSP has some great games that I would like to play, but realistically, I'll just end up playing them at home.
Also, how much do you think I could get for this bundle? If I did ebay, I would start at $99, I think.
PSP 1000 with Custom Firmware 3.71 (Great for homebrew!)
2 wall chargers
1GB memory stick duo
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops faceplate/case thing
Box and instructions (Value Pack)
Headphones with remote
(Note: the PSP has had a screen protector on it the whole time)
Pic to come, probably
Should I sell my PSP/How much can I get for it?

Do you enjoy being able to pirate games with your current PSP? I notice that you have custom firmware installed. If you jump up to a -3000 series, keep in mind that you will lose your ISO/homebrew ability *unless* you manage to find one with firmware version 5.03 or below. Even still, it's only a temporary hack you must perform every time you start your PSP, unless you leave it permanently in standby mode.
In terms of screen quality, it pretty much goes Go > 2000 > 1000 > 3000. I've used all four models extensively, and I feel like you're giving up an awful lot by ditching your -1000 for a -3000. The -2000 series also has TV-out capability, a better screen than the -3000, and a good portion of them are fully hackable like the -1000, so you get the best of all worlds. You're going to want the plugin that improves the TV-Out anyway, and to have it, you'll need custom firmware.

I know how you feel. I have a PSP-1000 with 1.00 firmware that I bought at launch and I really wanted a 3000. I couldn't bring myself to sell my 1000, so I just saved my pennies and bought a 3000.

I was hesitant to post because I thought my post would hurt your sale a little bit, but whatever.
I got a PSP 1000 with a 2 gig mem stick for 30 bucks, so that's a price foundation if you want.

I've sold similar bundles to yours for $100 on Amazon. Unless that faceplate adds a significant amount, I doubt you'll get much more than that for it.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

Wait, there is a plug-in that improves TV-out quality? How so? What does it do?irixith wrote:Do you enjoy being able to pirate games with your current PSP?
