That's for the GBA. I think the OP is asking about the one for the original Gameboy.

Here are some listings on Ebay:

The first link is the US version and the second link is the GBA version. I live in the UK though and there is not one copy of the game on ebay.co.uk or amazon.co.uk.

Just so you know regions dont matter for the GB as it was completely region free, I dont think UK versions run up anything more than US versions.

I know gameboy games are region free but there are differences in the regions.
The version that got released in Pal Regions was published by Virgin I just find it a bit odd that the gameboy version is almost non-existant where I live.

I don't think it's all that rare. I've seen it quite a few times in the wild actually. (In the US)

RarityGuide.com has it listed as 26% rarity, $27 new, $15 complete, and $4 cart-only. So no, this game isn't rare. Just because it's not on eBay doesn't mean it's rare; sometimes that means it's unwanted.

Earthworm Jim is a great game! Gameboy..>? Rare? I didnt think it was very rare, I might even own one or two of them....I like pal games though or games form outside the us...I would consider the Pal format to be more rare than the usa one ...
