I'm replaying Super Metroid for about the 3 dozenth time, and I'm *still* learning new things about it :)

I think I beat it like 5 times before I realized that demo video at the beginning of the game shows a bajillion cool tricks.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Oh man, is it your first time playing these? You are in for a world of awesome. Gag intended.

Be forewarned though... all of the games are fantastic, but none of them measure up to Super Metroid. Savor that one and try not to use any guides the first time around. The first Metroid Prime is the only other that starts to come close.

Also, you'll have to be a bit forgiving when it comes to Metroid 1 and 2, but around here that shouldn't be an issue.

Metroid Zero Mission was one of my favorites! It dragged a little toward the 1/2 2/3 mark and I had to use a guide, but it was still a spectacular game.

If you're starting out on Zero Mission, I wonder what you will think of Super Metroid. While Super Metroid seems to be highly praised by all, I think it pales in comparison to Zero Mission, and I got Super Metroid when I was a kid!

Just started playing Super Metroid tonight, for the first time ever... I'm about 2 hours in, and I'm loving it! I can see why it gets so much praise, but Fusion and Zero Mission are just as good IMO. This probably gets all the praise cause it came first.

I played Zero Mission before Super and my only complaint was the "floaty" controls in Super. I took me a while to get used to them.
I have to admit even though ZM may have been more fun, I felt more pride/accomplished after beating Super Metroid.
