Re: Mystic Defender
Looks cool. I've never even heard of this. Who developed it? It looks like an Irem game for some reason.

Re: Mystic Defender
i picked this game up a while back. i have never heard of it, but the back of the box looked pretty cool so i gave it a whirl. as your review states, it definitely is frustrating. i couldn't get past the 3rd or 4th level. the level where you have to jump from the rising and falling pillars in the lava. i couldn't get the timing down and always got smoked by those floating orbs. so, i gave up, which was the day i bought it, and haven't played it since. for a short review, i thought you hit everything right on. minus calling it a great game. i don't agree with that statement. it is playable though.
so i take it you were able to beat it? about how much time did you think you spent with it?

if you took a shit, please put it back
Re: Mystic Defender
It was published and developed by Sega.
As for the time, I have been playing it a lot since I bought it off my friend. That lava level is certainly difficult, you have to time the jumps right while getting your flame weapon charged since it acts as a temporary shield. As for it being great, if you like old platformers, this is a cool one to pick up flaws in all.
