usb pc sega pad on ps3 for playing ps2 games

I have these:

I have a ps3
I like to play ps2 games on my ps3
Yet these pads only work with Ps3 and ps1 games.
How can use them for playing ps2 games on the ps3?
Is there a converter that I can buy so that when playing ps2 games, these pads will register?
indeed perhaps something like the HOME button.
The adapter would have to be: SUB male out - USB female in

the complete set up would look like this:
USB PAD - USB adapter HOME converter - USB port on PS3

a way to play with regular Saturn controllers with PS2 games?

I like the Saturn controller alot and getting these pc sega pads was great, now if only I can get them to work with PS2 games on my ps3.

I also own a steering wheel which also has a USB cable I would want to use an adapter to play Battle Gear 2

Short answer...NO. Unless you are really tech savvy.

I have heard of a few stories of people modifying them (and real saturn) to work with the PS3 with PS2 games. But a lowly gamer like me will never figure out how. No adapters that I know of either.

I hope I am wrong, but I did some extensive internet searching on the matter about a year ago. There was some talk of it on the shoryuken forums.

I'm just happy that they work at all (for PS1/PS3 games). Also hoping PS3 get some decent Neo Geo Fighters, as I hear they might be available for download in the near future.
