Ebay? You can get one with a bunch of games and hookups for under $70 on ebay.

A fair price is about 30-35 bucks for any model (besides an original heavy sixer) with two joysticks and hookups. You may get lucky and get a cart or two or a set of paddles too at that price.

Like yomamma1 said search ebay and you should get a console and set of carts for under $70 pretty easily.

Used to be common at swap meets. Once in a great while I see one.
Hit all the basics first. Swap meet, garage sales, thrift stores, and Craigs list.
From that point then online to EBay is your best shot.

$70 is kind of steep. I got a light sixer with 28 games for $35, including shipping, off of Ebay several months back.

its possible to assemble a 2600 in parts and pieces. You just have to be paitent.

If you go to fleamarkets and such you can find some incomplete pieces for a couple of bucks.

In my opinion the hardest part to find is the AC adapter.

I have an atari 2600 jr. and it took me quite a while to find an extra AC adapter for it. just in case mine breaks.

In my opinion i wouldn't pay more than $5 for 2600 games. Unless it was rare

Honestly I've noticed that 2600s aren't selling well at all lately, and you can buy a Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade (same thing, just sears branded) for ridiculously cheap right now. Other than the Heavy Sixer I haven't seen an especially high demand for these systems and I'd say $70 is way high to pay for one right now...I think you could get one for $30-40 shipped with plenty of games, hookups, and controllers from eBay with the current market, especially if you go the Tele-Games Video Arcade route.

I found an original atari 2600 with the box. box had price tag $89 sears. Im not sure what price for it. he beg me to buy it. He had some games complete used condition and good. I bought Empire strike back with everthing CIB and Journey band game Journey escape CIB. They are hardly worth anything. I did find an atari console inside of a hard heavy suitcase (possibly the 5200). Im not really into buying atari because I don't have much room and would hardly play it. I did have the 7200 way back then.

To repeat what others are saying a 2600 is cheap as hell. I wouldn't expect to pay more than $30 really for a system and some games on eBay.
