Test your retro geek strength

Post by J T »

I'm sure Hobie Wan will kill at this. It's a name-that-game game. You see a screenshot and have a time limit in which to name the game.

What's your high score?

What is that gaming echo sound before the trivia game begins. I've heard it before, I just can't remember from game: nes game or gameboy?

85,100, level 340-ish. I kinda stopped paying attention.

I noticed a couple of errors, one of which was apparently fixed since last time I played. There are a few games he mislabeled, such as a screenshot from Warcraft the he had labeled Warcraft 2. I'm sitting here, shouting at the screen over it..."Look at the roads! Only a warlock could summon that demon! It's killing the human barracks!" Heh.

Also, don't use punctuation, and don't use series titles. It's not Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, it's just Ocarina of Time.

and mega man 2 is labelled as mega man. Seems inconsistent with it's naming rules

Actually, to make it worse, I think it's just Mario Bros. I think if you add the Super, it counts it as a wrong answer.

9775 on my first try. All the indie games I've never heard of are what killed me.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

I got to level 430 or so before I realized it was repeating itself and quit...I should probably go outside more.

That said, there are problems with this. Megaman 2 is megaman, yoshi's island is sometimes super mario world, I can't for the life of me guess how they want me to spell super mario allstars. Nothing of any real challenge aside from some indie games shows up until the later hundreds too.

I don't quite remember my score but it was somewhere in the hundred-thousands I think.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?
