never really understood the concept. You're paying somebody to play the game for you.

Complete waste of time.

I don't understand the point in doing this, the people who do it on diamond/pearl/platinum to have shiny god squads I can just about understand. However, even still, you're going to get absolutely trounced by anyone who has spent time actually training their pokémon. When you level a pokémon with the use of Rare Candies/hacks etc you don't gain EV (effort values) so the pokémon just gets the bog standard stat boosts it normally acquires through a level up. When you battle the pokémon to level, it gains EV depending on the actions during battle which increase the stats you gain at level up over the normal amount. So a level 100 EV'd pokémon is going to be vastly more powerful than the exact same pokémon that was rare candied to 100.

Yeah I know what you're getting at. It's still pointless.

Hey, why don't you have my completed save of FF7, or perhaps my Pokémon Red with all 151 with a full team of non-rare candied lvl 100s? Why would anyone want to play a game that has been completed for you? Where is the satisfaction in that? I would NEVER give my Pokémon Red away, it holds that much sentimental value to me. I spent literal weeks of play time getting my squad to that level and then proceeding to be the undisputed champion of Pokémon at school. A cheated game? Holds absolutely no value at all. Takes no skill and anyone with an action replay can do it.

Might as well go play CSS with an aimbot or go macro an MMO...

Niode you don't seem to understand the logic behind this.

Pokémon tournaments are based on who is the best battler and who is the best strategist not who has more time to breed ten boxes of pokémon to get one with the correct Nature and IVs.

It's akin to golf clubs. It would be good if you didn't have to pay so much for one instead of being at a disadvantage because you are poor. Being poor should not matter on how good you perform at a tournament.

If you like breeding, EV training and RNG abusing that's cool. But many players don't like to sit there going up and down for hours to hatch hundreds of eggs.

Your comparison with CSS and Aimbotting makes no sense. A good methapor is if you could only use the Pistol unless you jumped 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times. It is pointless, boring and completely unrelated to the game itself. If you enjoy jumping that's cool but you shouldn't force others to do the same and they should be able to enjoy the game competitively without wasting hours.

If you feel better because you trained your pokémon yourself that's cool. Just don't complain because others don't like it.

I was under the impression that hacked Pokémon were frowned upon in tournament level play. Care to back up your statement with a citation?

Well competitive Pokémon is mainly based on simulators like ShoddyBattle for similar reasons. But hacking, cloning and RNG abuse are commonplace.

Nowadays hacking is only used for items, instant hatching and IV checking because abusing the random number generator is faster and more reliable.

Hacking is not frowned upon per se. Kids hacking are frowned upon because they tend to not know how to do it right.

Examples of cloning/RNG abuse:

Cloning is done via Action Replay. I think cloned items (Because when you need 4 leftovers you are not going to play the game four times for 40 hours just to get that) are also done with AR.

I personally don't know how to RNG yet but given my pretty bad results with breeding with flawless hacked parents I should learn to do so.
