You know what I would like to see on the Wii's VC?

The ability to play online in the VC games. Bubble Bobble, Contra, Mario Kart, etc etc etc. I realize it would be an effort to implement it properly but I think that the VC would improve tremendously if I could play two player games online. I dreamed of playing my NES games online as a kid so I was a little disapointed when I realized that the Wii's VC wouldn't do that.

Maybe down the line who knows?

You mean Nintendo should spend money to make money? I love Nintendo but I'm pretty sure whoever coined the phrase 'rest on your laurels' had them in mind.

for some reason it seems like Nintendo love to innovate in every area except with regards to the internet. It's almost like they refuse to do the obvious thing and stubbornly have to come up with their own ideas. Like why make a console that can play games online, when you can make a 3D handheld? It's frustrating as hell for all of us though

They could just use emulators out there that already allow online play.

I think some ports of other classic games do this. I have Gunstar Heroes on the PS3 and I played 2 player with some guy online.
