Help with NOAC and Composite to VGA adapter

Hi, I have a Hyperkin Composite to VGA Box,

And I also have a Yobo FC Twin, and these two seem to have a deep-seated hatred for each other, I have a Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Dreamcast, PS2 Slim, Xbox and Xbox 360 that will work just fine through this adapter, but if I plug in the FC twin, regardless of if I am playing a SNES or NES game, the sound works just fine, but the video is frozen and garbled up, like I was playing with a bad game genie code. I suspect the problem is the FC Twin is outputting a resolution the VGA box doesn't like, and I have tried pressing the resolution button on the box, and it does nothing. I know the FC twin works fine, I have tested it on a friend's tv.

So anybody have any ideas as to what the problem is? Sound like a bad resolution?

Suspect you are right about the resolution, FC Twin has a NES 256x240 resolution which is way down on the scale. The lowest of all the consoles you have listed. Try lowering your VGA monitor to 640x480 and different refresh rates.

I have tried that, the box comes with a little button on the side to change the resolution, but none of the settings work, I tried messing around with the monitor's settings, but I can't change the resolution from there, D:

Is there any way to modify the FC twin to change the res? I'm not terribly afraid of getting my hands dirty, and this thing isn't working the way it is, so if I break it, I'll have an excuse to get a real SNES and NES.

EDIT: I'd like to add that the snes side does the same thing, I forgot to mention that.

I think pretty much a dead end. Suspect older console resolutions just aren't compatible. Same results would probably occur the an older Sega or Nintendo. Even if it did work the pic may not look great stretching those pixels to VGA resolution. Investment of a good VGA adaptor would be too expensive, maybe a composite input TV?

I went to goodwill today and bought a cheap little CRT TV with compsite, and it works, so oh well. Thanks anyway!
