If anybody picked up the THQ pack, they will have got this game. Now I've spent a good hour or so trying to get this damn thing to work. Apparently it's notorious for not working, Volition appears to have phoned the port in, or evidently, not bothered at all. Thankfully I stumbled across this little beauty:

It fixed all my problems (crashing at startup, crashing after the first THQ movie, crashing when starting the game, crashing after walking a few steps after the tutorial etc etc) AND added on screen button prompts for the 360 controller, plus a bunch of other extra stuff that just makes the game so much cooler (starting the game up to Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears cannot be matched by any game, ever). So yeah, give that mod a go, the game has ceased crashing on me, and amazingly, looks AND plays better than GTAIV ever did on my PC.

I played the PS3 version and loved it, but since I too bought the THQ pack this is good to know if I ever want to play the game on my PC. Perhaps if some cool mods come out

Follow that link. The Gentlemen of the Row mod is basically a 'best of' of all the mods released so far, and it's constantly being updated. It adds A LOT of content to the game, new weapons, vehicles, costumes, customization options etc etc. Check the link out.

I have nothing useful to contribute other than co-signing that Saints Row 2 is indeed superior to GTA4. Awesome game.
