Any arcades in the South Bay or Torrance?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Any arcades in the South Bay or Torrance?

Post by Pookie »

Every single arcade I have gone to since I was a kid has closed down, even the Gameworks in Long Beach closed down. I know there are a few in the Inland Empire, but over an hour in driving time is just too much. Do you guys know of any arcades in/around the South Bay?

There's one by the Redondo Beach pier. It's in kind of a cool area and they have lots of classic games. On the down side, even the old games cost fifty cents (which is an outrage in my opinion) and a lot of them aren't well-maintained. Also, you have to pay for parking at the pier. Still a better deal than that Gameworks though. Good riddance!

I miss Pak Mann Arcade in Pasadena :(

That place was awesome! I was sad to see it close and the bad thing about it was that it was all because of money. The guy had a prime spot on Colorado Blvd and was paying a lot less than other places around there due to having a long term lease or something. There a bunch of "charges" and "violations" that were trumped up to get him out of there. Very shady.
