coastercrazy10's game room (11 new pics 12/24/2010)

Post by coastercrazy10 »

Video (slightly out of date but whatever)

Before I get to the pics, just a note...I don't have anything hooked up at the moment because I'm working on some wire management ideas and decided to just remove everything to make that project a bit easier. I just hook up whatever I want to play when I want to play it for now, so the switchboxes aren't in use. I need a third one though so that's on my eventual shopping list.

Is that dust on the PS3?!?! Dust it!

I do like the 2600 boxes in EXCELLENT condition. Most that I see are in terrible condition.

And what's going on with the front of that 2600?

Christmas with the Gentleman of Country Vol 2? What's that doing in the middle of the DCgames?

It's the Sears version of the 2600.

Yeah, Sears marketed the Atari 2600 as a tele-games video arcade, which sold for cheaper

And believe it or not, that's the case one of my games came in when i bought my dreamcast. No lie. And the other blank one is another game...both sports titles, so i'm not TOO concerned.

My N64 and PS3 just attract dust like NOBODY'S business. Everything else is fine, it's just those two for some reason (guess 'cause they're black, but the saturn and genesis 1 are fine. the genesis 2 came dusty and i just haven't dusted it yet). And the 2600 games in box were passed down from my dad...he just packed them away and they stayed in excellent shape.

Three suggestions

1)dust. Dust everything. The handhelds, the consoles, the shelves, the game cases, everything.
2)try removing the gamestop labels. Curse them for making them so hard to get rid of.
3)It looks like the SNES is starting to yellow. Try to fix that asap.

Very solid collection though. I approve.

4) Mail me everything

But seriously, dusting is a necessity. When trying to remove stickers a hair dryer will help as long as they aren't near a sticker label you want to keep. Just aim and start peeling slowly. This trick is really only helpful when the sticker is actually on the manual or the game cover so you don't rip it.

How did you get all of your systems to defy gravity like that?!?!?!?!?

PS, if you need to get rid of that horribly yellowed disgrace that you call an SNES, I can take it off of your hands. 8)

Also, get this for your PSP, http://cgi.ebay.com/Me-and-My-Katamari- ... 5ada504379

Very nice collection!! As others have mentioned I would try to replace yellowed SNES as soon as possible and dust off your gaming systems and handhelds. :)
