Joystick article....

Developed by Obsidian, who seems to be on a roll lately after such a long absence.

The IP apparently was bought by Square Enix. What is up with them buying up western game IPs lately?

I've got mixed feelings. The first one was pretty boring, the second one wasn't bad (the skills helped a bit) but the games still just don't involve as much as a session of Diablo. I want to like it, but make it more interesting than just attacking with occational super spell.

That with Atlus to release Thrine 2 means that Japanese game companies are looking to diversify their products, which isn't bad, considering that EA has an almost-monopoly in the gaming market, and other big companies in the US as well - which can cut down potential for newer games.
