They haven't respected Michael Jackson at all after he died.
They haven't respected Michael Jackson at all after his death.
I don't know who has the rights to his life's work (I've heard somewhere that until his children become adults, his father manages the estate, but I'm not too sure), but they haven't respected Jackson's legacy at all.
This is the man who kept righting complete songs, not liking them, and scraping them instead of releasing them for a quick buck. This is the man who didn't want his name on Sonic 3, because the Mega Drive's sound chip wasn't good enough to recreate his work. This is a man who strived for perfection with everything he did.
And even before we reach the first anniversary of his death, there has been released a movie from his rehearsals (and I'm guessing as any rehearsal I don't think they were perfect), unreleased songs will get released (as I said above he didn't release them because he didn't like them) and what broke the straw for me a MJ game from Ubi Soft. Some how I don't think he would have liked that either.
I don't know who exactly handles his legacy, but I'm sure he didn't care for Michael at all. He is just milking the world for it's MJ mania.
Anyone else finds all this disrespectful?

This is a man who fucked little boys.
There is nothing they can do that would be disrespectful.
Granted, he wrote some great tunes, and I respect some of his early music - but I have zero respect for the man himself.

Never proven, I don't buy it personally and there's plenty of info online that backs that up, but the media tried so hard to convine people he did years ago and like George Carlin or Bill Hicks often said, people love to buy whatever the media feeds them as truth
It's like when ignorant people make fun of him for wanting to be white. Apparently, oblivious to a little thing called vitiligo. I've SEEN vitiligo and it DOES change skin color

i don't see how releasing unreleased material is disrespecting in anyway. it is good for the fans.
i am pretty sure the fans will understand the material will be will subpar, hence why it was never released.

anybody with any brains would milk the MJ name for all its worth. it is gold.ZeroAX wrote: I don't know who exactly handles his legacy, but I'm sure he didn't care for Michael at all. He is just milking the world for it's MJ mania.

Well we do have his own admissions to sleeping in bed with little boys, having slumber parties, etc. Even if he didn't actually fuck 'em and just did this creepy-ass shit I still have no respect for him as a human being. And I would guess that he did have sex with them, as he paid settlement money a few times. Outside of the courtroom, all of the signs point to -->> "yes!"Gamerforlife wrote:Never proven
He also wasn't a very good dad, as evidenced by his baby dangling exploit.
Re: They haven't respected Michael Jackson at all after he died.
You honestly think that court settlements equate to guilt and that a temporary lapse of judgment is the same thing as bad parenting? This is a topic about the way a man's artistic work is being treated after his death. Stating that he "fucked little boys" is hardly relevant or productive. You're a helpful member of this community, but sometimes I'm genuinely surprised that you're a moderator.

As much as it doesnt respect him, I want to hear those unreleased tracks. Rumor has it, he had a follow up to Thriller called Ghost and that he has alot of perfectly good tracks just not released. They may not be perfection to him, but I would break my "Dont buy cds" rule if it was released.

There are countless celebrities who haven't been respected after their death.
This is nothing new.
MJ's death got more media coverage than any other celebrity death in recent memory, I'd hardly say he got "no respect".
