Hi everyone!
i've tried to set up yabause emulator to work on my MBP c2d, with 4 gb of ram.
I never got anything working, it doesn't matter what i'm trying to do...it just won't work..nor with original cds game from every region, pal, us, jap..nor with the .cue .iso game image.
Someone out there had the chance to make it work properly?
if so, can u please tell me ur exact setup in the preferences panel?
thank you!

sega saturn emulation is pretty uh... shaky to say the least.
Re: Sega Saturn Yabause emulator on MAC
I've got no idea, dude. But apparently it's like AppleQueso says...
Oh, don't confuse MAC with Mac!
the Mac is a computer from Apple and MAC stands for Media Access Control...

Re: Sega Saturn Yabause emulator on MAC
Yabause doesn't support multi-threading, which is why it's slower than SSF.

Re: Sega Saturn Yabause emulator on Macintosh
I am confused
sometimes I hear Saturn emulation is at almost extremely good state
then I hear it sucks

oh..sooo i'm not the only one!
it's kinda frustrating...you know?
i never found a detailed guide to make it work, and it doesn't really seem to work at all. plus the setup is not friendly with LOTS of options..wierd! All the topics i've found about this subject are from people having troubles with it.
thank you anyway!

Re: Sega Saturn Yabause emulator on Macintosh
Basically SSF > Yabause
Emulation enthusiasts are always going to find the best options on Windows. They're slowly making more Linux ports of emulators nowadays, but if you're on a Mac you're out of whack! (sorry)

Re: Sega Saturn Yabause emulator on Macintosh
It does work but not best for running for popular rpgs except maybe Castlevania. You need to get the bios and place them in certain folder. Mount iso the game. look into the preference menu. open gl is probably good.

Re: Sega Saturn Yabause emulator on Macintosh
Yabause emulation is coming along. They are in the midst of a huge update which should be ready by the end of the year. The odd game runs better on yabause than it does on SSF and yabause is multiplatform and open source. Yabause is better for programmers wanting debug options. You do need a saturn bios for better compatibility with yabause. End rant.
