i thought the hd box pro was compatible with all hd tv's

hello there guys i purchased a hd box pro for my wii an ps2 but it doesn't work with my lcd tv a sharp 1080 p 3 years old ,who has a vga input
what could be the problem?

A little more clarity please.
Make, Model numbers of HD Box and LCD.
Type of video cables used on all components.
PS2 and Wii both look clean with Component cables direct to the LCD though Dot Crawl may show on some images.
