There are some small 4 or 5 cart units that were used in demo machines. I think they plugged into the expansion slot in the side. Not quite as cool, but something else to keep an eye out for that's similar.

Had a 2600 version years ago. Temperamental, I think between the button switches and all the additional game cart contacts.
C64 expansion slot works beautiful, slide individual switches off and one on then tap reset button on the expansion board.

Here is a pic, the 2600 select I remember had square tan push buttons next to each cart?
