Circuit City Selling Used Games

Post by racketboy »

Even though I'm not a huge Circuit City fan, I like them much more than GameStop, etc
Plus, competition is always nice:

Thats interesting, but my regional Gamestop, Babbages and EB employees don't suck so I'm always having a great time going there. Maybe I'll step foot into my CC again soon...it's been years.

I think they're doing this to step up competition with Best Buy really.

The Circuit City stores around me have always sucked hard, but not as bad as target. The worst organization and selection available award has got to go to Target.

I was never a real big fan of Circuit City myself...

But recently I purchased a TV and Wii from them. They were the only ones around who had a Wii and the TV was a great deal.

1400 for a 50" 1080p DLP television (taxes included)

Froogle shows it priced from 1200 up to 2700 (internet sites and has to be shipped on top of the cost)... in stores around here it was marked at 17-2200 (Best Buy, Brandsmart, etc)... so I think I got a damn good deal

I've never bought games from them, just mainly computer related products if they had really good rebates. Some competition would be a good thing though. Gamestop/Ebgames just rips people off when it comes to trade ins.

Great, now when I buy a new game from Circuit City I will have to worry about it being a used game reshrinkwrapped and sold as new. That is the primary reason I would avoid places like Gamestop, EbGames, Babbages, etc and shop at places like Circuit City. I have been buying most of my new games at Walmart lately since they usually get them a day or two after the release date and are prices cheaper than Gamestop, EbGames, & Babbages.
