Dreamcast question?

Was just wondering if you guys had this problem with your dreamcast?

Ok so I start my dreamcast and I cant close the lid all the way, If i close it all the way it will not read the disc. I have to go all the way down but not push it down all the way till the lock (the click sound) I have to put something a bit heavy on top like another controller so the lid stays shut.

Any recommendations will be much appreciated.

the lids lever is old and warn out. You should pop open the DC and take a look inside to see exactly what is wrong with the mechanism. It could merely be the conductors out of place... or it could be the actual lever is bent. The latter being hard to fix the earlier being simple to fix.

Hm didnt think about that...

Thx lordofduct im gona try out that because its a pain in the arsh last time my dog hit the table where i had the dreamcast and the control fell off and lost all my progress

(I was playing blue stinger and that can be a pain)
