Re: The Humble Indie Bundle
Hey I just wanted to say that everyone should get this. The money's for a good cause, it won't cost much, and the games are awesome. Gish alone makes this bundle worth it, and all the rest are equally awesome. Thanks for the link!

$0.00 isn't an optional amount to spend.

Don't be a fucking tight-ass. It's for EFF and Childsplay.
I donated $25, $5 per game.

You'd kinda be a douche if you did anyways. The point of this effort isn't to rip the developers off when they offer you an amazing deal.

Re: The Humble Indie Bundle
I know Gish and World of Goo and they are great (I already paid for Goo when they did this sort of promotion); I've heard excellent stuff about Aquaria.
Don't know the other two.
I think I'll "donate" at least 10.00 this time. I wouldn't buy the games otherwise so I don't "feel bad" about being a cheapskate.
I'm glad they joined things together so that the donations more easily overcome the "Paypal fee" threshold (if you donate less than one buck, they are basically not getting much money at all as the paypal fees essentially destroy your donation).
And I intend to send all to developers. If they get a lot from this they can then decide if they want to donate a % to their favored charity.
Ivo.

This is a great idea, thanks for sharing.
All games seem to be fully cross platform (OS X, Windows and Linux) and it lets you choose what % goes to the developers and the charity.
I think i'm down for this, probably going to go 25/75 on the split, the devs gotta get some thanks too.

Don't be rude.
My original statement still stands. If you don't want to pay more than $5 for these games (Aquaria is worth that price alone, as is Gish and World of Goo) then don't even bother. As far as the charities are concerned you're better off pirating them. If you pay via paypal, they will eat anything under 30 cents and eat the vast majority of a donation of around $1, so it's completely pointless. All you are doing is giving money to paypal for nothing.
I didn't realise that paypal would absorb payments lower than $0.30 when I bought World of Goo when 2dboy had their birthday sale in the same manner. I had already bought the game on the Wii so my conscience was clear, but it is a bit gutting to know that absolutely nothing went to them, and so many people exploited the sale. They potentially missed out on at least $200 from the people donating $0.01/£0.01.
