Classic Controller Pro

Post by Flake »

Anyone have one yet? How does it stand up to the stock classic controller?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I have it, and while I can't compare it to the old classic controller since I've never used one, I can definitely recommend it. It is a little light, but it has nice button placement and works really well for WiiWare stuff.

Just picked this up from best buy. $15 (openbox/return discount) Actually it feels good in the hand. I don't have the classic controller, but this feels really good to me. Now for some geometry wars, and sin and punishment action. I would like to hear other people's thoughts on this controller as well.

I have both.

And I must say, the Pro is a huge improvement over the Regular.

The handles make for easier grip, the Z buttons are bigger and better placed,
and the analog sticks are easier to handle without thumb bumping
or thumb reaching.

It also feels really good in the hands, although the gloss top was
a HUGE mistake. >=( Black gloss= fingerprint/smudge collector.

I honestly thought it looked stupid when I first saw it. I've been using the (regular) Classic Controller for a while now, and I have no complaints with it. I have no need for two Classic Controllers, so I have no reason to get the Pro. Looks like it could be more comfortable to hold, but like I said, I have no complaints with the old controller.

Here's a picture for any one that doesn't know what the Classic Controller Pro is, and is too lazy to google it...

I've not used the new "pro" controller, but to be honest I'm not interested in it.

My favourite controller of all time is the SNES/SFC controller, and the original Classic Controller is pretty close to that. I think controllers globally went downhill when they started getting enormous and adding all that ergonomic crap (and that's not limited to Nintendo).

i definitely vote for the Pro controller. after my hand cramped up from playing A Link to the PAst with the classic controller and i found out the add-on grips were sold out everywhere, this came as good news. just got it today and tried it out with Ocarina of Time, so far so good. plus, they moved the wire to the top of the controller, on the original classic controller the wire came out the bottom and that can get a little annoying sometimes... but no more of that. if u got the cash, go for it.

The Classic Controller Pro is awesome!! I like the feel of controller over the original classic controller and I like the placement of the buttons. I own both and would recommend the Pro over the original easily :D
